Starting Monday, Saint Hilary students have been participating in national Catholic Schools Week. Daily events have been celebrating this year’s theme, “Dividends for Life: Faith, Knowledge, Discipline, Morals.”
On Friday, our teachers will attend a day of professional development. Hosted by the Archdiocese of San Francisco Department of Catholic Schools, the K-12 conference will focus on “Teaching and Learning in the 21st Century.” Nationally renowned educators will lead sessions on a range of topics, including nurturing positive relationships to make relevant and rigorous learning possible for all students; current and future trends and practices in instructional technology, impact of new technologies to teaching and learning; and using technology to teach, collaborate and inspire.”
Catholic Schools Week is a joint project of the National Catholic Educational Association (NCEA) and the United States Conference of Catholic Bishops. (USCCB). The Catholic Schools Week celebration became an annual event in 1974.
